Star Pro® Maintenance Formula

Ground yellow corn, wheat middlings, meat and bone meal, corn gluten meal, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), flaxseed, natural flavor, salt, choline chloride, vitamin A supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin supplement, DL-methionine, niacin, calcium pantothenate, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of vitamin K activity), folic acid, biotin, thiamine mononitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, sodium selenite, calcium iodate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate.

The amount of food required each day will vary by breed, activity level, temperament, and climate, and should be adjusted accordingly using the chart below as a guide. In most cases, once-a-day feeding is sufficient. If your dog prefers twice-a-day feeding, feed 1/2 of the daily amount in the morning and the other 1/2 in the afternoon. If preferred, one part warm water can be added to three parts Star Pro® Maintenance Formula immediately before serving. 

A dog should be maintained in good body condition and not allowed to become overweight. The food intake required to maintain good body condition will vary depending on the age, activity level, environment, and other stress factors. Consequently, the food requirement for each dog will vary and should be adjusted accordingly. 

Use the standard chart below as a guide. Hardworking dogs or dogs exposed to cold weather may require 2-3 times these amounts.

*One standard 8-ounce measuring cup holds approximately 4 ounces of food.

Changes to your dog’s feeding habits should be made gradually. When changing to Star Pro® Maintenance Formula, first substitute small amounts of food in place of your dog’s current food. Then over the next week to 10 days, increase the amount of food while decreasing the amount of the other food until your dog has 100% Star Pro® Maintenance Formula. 

Remember to provide plenty of fresh water in a clean container at all times. Regular veterinarian visits are recommended to ensure your dog’s good health. Pet food should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry area protected from rodents and insects. Pet food is perishable. Do not feed moldy or insect-infested food as it may cause illness or death.
