The final audit for SQF certification of the Pet Food Plant took place in January. Our score was 95 out of 100 and we obtained a Level 3 certification. This is the highest level of certification that can be earned and a great deal of team effort and expertise was required to obtain it.

We are excited about the prospects that this will bring and have already seen an increase in our private label accounts.

The SQF Code, is an internationally recognized certification system, for control of food quality hazards as well as food safety. Many large retailers are now beginning to require that their suppliers are SQF certified to ensure that the foods that they bring into their stores are safe. A SQF management system addresses a buyer’s food safety and quality requirements and provides the solution for businesses supplying local and global food markets.
