JOB PURPOSE

Primary function is to receive, load, move, store, and stock feed store supplies and to perform daily housekeeping assignments with minimal supervision.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers.
• Keep work area well swept and neat in appearance at all times.
• Be safety conscious during all activities.
• Commit to being at work on time and on assigned days.
• Maintain an attitude of teamwork and cooperation.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the limits of training and physical and mental abilities.
• Work overtime as needed.

AUTHORITY

To act within established guidelines.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• Report directly to Feed Store Manager.
• If Feed Store Manager not present, report directly to lead supervisor.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

• Pull bags of warehouse stock to load in cars.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Stack, store, and organize feed store supplies.
• Store products and supplies in clean, swept, and straight rows.
• Clean and sweep assigned housekeeping areas daily.
• Follow all established safety rules.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Good manual and finger dexterity.
• Continual standing and walking.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds many times per day; requires full use of lower extremities and back muscles.
• Ability to sustain continual standing, bending, sweeping, and other repetitive motions.

COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have adequate math skill to count bags accurately.

• Ability to relate with coworkers and supervisors to enhance the efficient operation of the plant.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain job-required attention to detail over an extended period of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees in this position must be able to perform under the following conditions.

• Dusty conditions that may require the wearing of goggles and dust mask.
• Continual standing and walking.
• Work area is not climate-controlled; employee is subject to indoor environment with protection from weather conditions but not temperature variations.
